Sometimes the greatest lessons can be learned from mistakes and any builder that tells you otherwise is LYING! In this episode we talk about some of the lessons we have learned over the years, and how in certain areas the building code is merely a bare minimum. While the engineering for certain things in the code book would never fail, sometimes it doesn't perform the way you would IDEALLY want it to.

Today we beef up the structure for the roof on our current project because its NOT GOOD ENOUGH in my and I'm not walking away from it until it is better. We settle on using a large cable system with a turnbuckle for our fix, and discuss how and why it will work to improve the situation. Special thanks to
